Corena is the Executive Director and co-founder of The Sunny Side Foundation. Corena is the mother of Sunny, who passed away on July 6th, 2023.
While we were made aware of Sunny's diagnosis early in our pregnancy, it has not lessened the pain we have felt since losing her. However, it did give us time - time to prepare for the expected outcome, time to enjoy each minute I was blessed with her in utero and time to learn how to find the "sunny side" on some of our darkest days. We hope to spread love and light to others going through something similar.
